Membership Packet
The Indiana Concrete Masonry Association
is made up of companies dedicated to
promoting masonry construction in and
around the state of Indiana.
The membership dollars spent on promotion account for 85% of the total funds.
Indiana Concrete Masonry Association works closely with the Indiana Brick Council, which promotes brick residential homes by television advertising, and local personal contact with builders, suppliers, and home buyers. Both ICMA and the Brick Council recognize that promotion of our industry puts a halt to the declining wall share, and ensures a future for all masonry associated trades and businesses.

Indiana Concrete Masonry Association does not stop at the committees. Within
those committees there are sub committees tackling the most important issues of
our time.
Other activities of ICMA include college student tours, architect and engineer
education, safety seminars, masonry awards program, sales seminars, production
seminars, promotional mailings, and the list grows every year. ICMA
has recently in 2006 been invited to participate in the Indiana Fire Code and
Indiana Building Codes Committees.
ICMA Annual Events:
ICMA hosts three major meetings for the membership throughout the year. The
Annual Meeting, Summer Meeting and Fall Meeting are designed to educate the
membership on masonry topics along with educational sessions for architects and
engineers. The meetings incorporate structured educational sessions with
opportunities to network within the membership at social functions.
ICMA
enjoys a relationship with Ball State University and Notre Dame University
hosting for the third decade a masonry design program for the sophomore
students. This program is a mainstay for the architectural curriculum of both
schools.
ICMA has members and staff certified to teach the National Concrete Masonry
Association’s Segmental Retaining Wall Installation program. This class
certifies installers nationwide for installation of both gravity and engineered
wall systems.
Each year ICMA hosts the Excellence in Masonry Awards program. Architects,
Owners and Mason Contractors are celebrated for their design and installation of
masonry products.
ICMA also is an AIA provider educating designers throughout Indiana. Members of
ICMA can take advantage of these programs by hosting events either at their
office or at a meeting facility.
